First, what is certain and what is not
The patterns and mark distributions in these notes come from question collections published online (duranta.app, jobqns, CSE Career Master Guide, etc.). They were collected from candidates' memory. They are not official. The wording of questions may differ a little, and some questions were incomplete or unclear (where this happened, my assumption is clearly stated). Before every recruitment, check the BSCS / Bangladesh Bank circular and admit card (erecruitment.bb.org.bd) to confirm the exam pattern.
BSCS — Officer (IT), Grade-10 (Job ID 25105, 31.07.2026)
1 hour: English, Bangla, GK, Math, IT
Same structure as SO IT: 50 (language + GK) + 150 (15 subject-based)
Combined Bank — Officer (IT) MCQ (BIBM, 03.01.2026)
99 questions: ~60 IT + Bangla + English + math + GK
—
Combined 2 Banks — ANSE (Job ID 25109, 16.10.2026)
—
16 network/security questions (Subnet, VLSM, OSPF, BGP, STP, PAT, DAI…) — 14 had appeared in earlier exams
BSCS — Assistant Programmer, Grade-9 (Job ID 25106, 31.10.2026)
1 hour, 100: IT 75 + math 15 + GK 10
2 hours, 200: 15 technical × 10 (4 on AI: NLP, LLM, agentic AI/MCP, RAG) + 4 math × 5 + English 30 (10 grammar + essay) — fully solved in Chapter 15
Most important observations
Questions repeat. 14 of the 16 ANSE 2026 questions repeated. The same K-map (Σm 0,3,5,7,8,10,11,12,13,14,15) came in both the AME January 2026 and the SO IT July 2026 exams. The pipeline vs single-cycle question also came twice. So study the Past question boxes in these notes first.
75% of the written part (150/200) is technical, usually 10 marks each — so within 12 minutes write definition + diagram/table + example/calculation.
Banking context: Atomicity/Consistency in fund transfer, revenue loss from ATM downtime, payment gateway audit, ransomware in branches, shared superuser password — you must write technical concepts with bank examples.
AI has arrived: the AP paper of 31.10.2026 had four AI questions (NLP, Generative AI/LLM, agentic AI with MCP, RAG) plus capacity and cache calculations — read Chapter 11 (AI part) and Chapter 15.
AME/AE also gets electrical (Fuse vs MCB, fuse rating, diode, transistor region) — CSE candidates must not skip Chapter 12.
The 50 non-technical marks are easy to score — see Chapters 13 and 14 for Focus writing, translation and GK.
Definition (1–2 lines) — writing in English is safer, since the question is in English.
Diagram or table — in a "Differentiate" question, always give a table of 4–6 rows.
Step-by-step calculation — write the formula first, then substitute the values, and finally box the answer with its unit.
Banking example — adding one line like "In a bank, e.g. fund transfer…" makes your answer stand out.
Conclusion/recommendation — in a scenario question, give 3–4 bullets under the heading "Recommendation".
Common mistakes
Not removing network/broadcast addresses in subnetting (usable = 2h − 2); N vs N−1 in RAID 5; aggregate without GROUP BY in SQL; forgetting arrival time in a Gantt chart; misspelling the "exact phrase" of an HTTP status (e.g. "Not Found", "Internal Server Error").
